Egregious, a new addition to the Sanguine Blood Seekers series will arrive August 4th. Writing these vampire stories are…interesting to say the least. When they start whispering in my ear with the direction they want to go – it is hard to sway them but I love the arguments in my head!
These vampires are all cranky and off-kilter because…they didn’t expect love! Sanguine Blood Seekers – Heaven’s vampires – an ensemble cast of undead.
Coming August 4th – Egregious featuring the father of Noah.

Hate and fear live in a package only love can unwrap.
Liam Lamech buried Valerian, the vampire he recognized as his mate, next to Hell’s gate nearly two thousand years ago. When the vampire king frees the vile creature, Liam determines not to give in to the strongest emotion a vampire can experience — the pull of an eternal mate. Liam can’t kill Valerian, yet he vows never to love him. Still, he’ll protect the undead man with his own life.
Valerian detests the memory of his days as a Roman emperor, though not nearly as much as he hates Liam, the vampire God chose as his mate. Aware they were meant to spend eternity together, the monster buried Valerian so close to Satan that a piece of his soul still burns. Even though Liam is one of the vampire king’s most revered warriors, Valerian vows to make the bastard pay!
Snippet:
Liam sat where he could look out the window. The sight of the stars dotting the midnight sky soothed him as he waited. Was it dishonest to burrow himself in Val’s head? Fuck no. He’d told Val he wouldn’t stay off his mental path. Neither was he going to let Val flit around a strange city unmonitored. Carrying remnants of Sten’s blood, his mate could handle all but an older, stronger vampire. Were that the case, Liam would have already known such a creature roamed the area. He’d made a serious mistake by underestimating Nile. That wasn’t going to happen again.
He blatantly eavesdropped on Val’s interaction with the concierge at the front desk. Valerian professed distaste of technology but having the blood of any modern being, Val only had to search their knowledge base for information regarding smart phones and googling. Luckily the gentleman Val talked to happened to have first-hand information regarding a nearby nightclub.
Head back, eyes closed, Liam followed Val’s journey and waited.
Perturbed at the way things evolved, Liam kept watch as Val entered the establishment and… Son of a bitch! Between the hotel and the club Valerian had changed clothes. He opted for a black suit with what the modern crowd called skinny pants. The white shirt provided a stark contrast to naturally tan skin. Damn if his ass didn’t look awesome. Val’s salt and peppered hair was pulled back and secured with a strip of leather. Liam noted a pair of black loafers that appeared soft and comfortable. Told him dress anyway he liked. “Hell if I’m happy he chose such a splendid outfit to bar hop on his own.”
Taking a seat at the bar, Val ordered red wine. He nursed his drink for nearly thirty minutes. Taking the last swallow, another appeared in front of him. When the bartender pointed out a patron, Liam saw him through Val’s eyes. A pretty young fucker. Wanting to see where it would go, Liam bided his time.
The stranger introduced himself as Brian. They talked about weather and touristy sites Val wanted to visit in LA. It was all good until the bastard took hold of Val’s hand, confiding he liked older men and wanted to show Val his apartment. When Val’s heart rate elevated, Liam growled. “No you don’t.”
* * *
Valerian suspected Liam followed his every move. A niggling, a strangeness, he knew his mate was there. He was positive when the young guy reached for his hand and everything in the room paused. Liam whirled into the club and stood behind him. Valerian muttered, “That didn’t take long.”
Normalcy returned and Liam removed the guy’s hand. Facing him, he said, “I’m with him.”
“Val didn’t mention having a boyfriend.”
“What did you call him?”
“He said his name is Valerian. I like Val.”
“Brian, you should leave.”
Valerian observed the man’s forehead crease before he asked, “How do you know my name?”
“That’s not all I know.” Liam leaned into the guy and told him, “I know you’re going home dickless if you don’t return to your seat.”
Valerian had had enough. “Liam, I don’t require your assistance in picking someone up.”
“That’s what you’re doing? I’m good with that.” Liam spun back to Brian. “You’re welcome to come to our hotel room. Who you taking first?”
Aware of how dangerous the encounter could become, Valerian shouldn’t have found humor in how fast the human scurried away. “That was a shitty thing to do.”
“Did you really want to screw him, Val?”
“What if I did?”
“Then I’m watching.”
